Oliver Twist is an orphan boy who doesn't have any parents. He doesn't know he shouldn't get involved with strangers. Oliver Twist was born in a workhouse. His mom was sick and died when he was born. The theme of Oliver Twist is good and evil. It also is about losing hope. What do you think it means that Jesus is the Savior?
Bright says: "God cares for and loves us even when we sin. Jesus died on the cross and rose again for our sins, so He is the Savior." "...God knew we should be punished for all the stuff He saw, but because He loves us so much, He chose to help us. God sent his son, Jesus, to save us from our sins-to be our savior, even though He knew we didn't deserve it...God want us to live our lives. He did not send a savior to save people who are perfect. He sent a savior to help people who willingly admit they need help---humble people admit that they sin and fall short of how God want us to live."(MTN Book, Gems Girl's Club) "And she brought forth her firstborn son; and she wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were shepherds in the same country abiding in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock...And an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all the people: for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this is the sign unto you: Ye shall find a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, and lying in a manger.” (Luke 2:7-12 ASV) "Everyone who believes in Jesus and admits they sinned can be saved. We can show Jesus our appreciation in the way we choose to live our lives. It was out of His immense love that God saved us even when we did not deserve it...Jesus died on the cross for the ungodly, for sinners who did not deserve his help. God loves us so much He sent a savior to pay the price for our sins...We all sin, we all need help, and God sent Jesus, the Savior, to save everyone who believes in him. He wants to fill us with His love so we can spread it to others as well. (MTN Book By Gems Girl's Club) ..."For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life;"(Romans 5:6, 8, 10 ASV) Bright says: "People can sin. Dogs don't sin, but I did eat a lollipop once when I wasn't supposed to. People can be saved through Jesus." |
The Lonely People Song By Brightweather The Lonely People song by John Lennon and Paul McCartney (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0gpPs4flw8) is so depressing because the people in the song lead hopeless lives. However, lonely people can find their worth in Jesus. "Farther McKenzie...Writing the words to a sermon that no one hear..... No one came near... Look at him working....” Farther McKenzie should know that he can find his worth in Jesus. If God is pleased with you, it doesn't matter what people think. .“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men in whom he is well pleased..'(Luke 2:13-19 ASV) Eleanor Rigby...Died in the church and was buried along with her name.. No one came..” I would tell Eleanor Rigby that Jesus cares for you when you are lonely. The bible says: “Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all the people: for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord. And this is the sign unto you: Ye shall find a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, and lying in a manger.” (Luke 2:2-12 ASV) Therefore the lonely people should know that Jesus loves them. The Christian group Jars of Clay wrote an encouraging song, also called Lonely People (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbwFe3PTVRo) . Christians can tell solitary people about Jesus. Their lives are not hopeless. They are valued by God. |
